Splash Jam
Sept. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Elizabeth Milburn Park – Cedar Park
Cost: FREE
Enjoy live music, food concessions, inflatables, carnival games and rides, a washer tournament at 4 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. Swim in Milburn Pool from 1 to 8 p.m. – regular pool rates apply.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Sept. 5 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Recycling Center – 310 Deepwood Drive
Cost: FREE for City of Round Rock water utility customers. For non-resents, the cost to drop off materials is $40 per car.
Movies in the Park
Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.
Elizabeth Milburn Park – Cedar Park
Cost: FREE
Grab your family, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a screening Ratatouille. Food is welcome, but glass containers are prohibited.
Market Days on the Square
Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Georgetown Town Square
A variety of vendors set up tents around the town square for a day of shopping. Vendors include arts & crafts, jewelry, unique clothing, woodcrafts and more.
Pfurry Splash Party
Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Scott Mentzer Pool – Pflugerville
Cost: $5 per dog (cost includes two humans)
Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
City of Leander Public Works – 607 Municipal Drive, Leander
Cost: Free for Williamson County Residents
Brew for the Heart
Sept. 9 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Whitestone Brewery – 601 E. Whitestone Blvd., Bldg. 5, Ste. 500
Cost: FREE
Beer, music and a raffle. The event benefits HeartGift.
Games on Main
Sept. 11, 18, 25 at 8 p.m.
Prete Main Street Plaza – Round Rock
Cost: $40
Meet up with some of your Round Rock neighbors to learn a variety of yard games: washers, corn hole, ladder golf and more. Only for ages 21+. Register here.

Sept. 14 at 7:45 p.m.

Family Campout
Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m. to September 22 at 11 a.m.
Old Settlers Park – Round Rock
Cost: $10-$15
Spend the night in Old Settlers Park! Each participant receives two meals, s’mores and a t-shirt. Register here.

Schools out for SUMMER! Kids look at summer as a great opportunity to have fun all the time, and as a parent it can be hard to find activities to keep them entertained. Well, lucky for you, Williamson County has plenty of summer events to keep your child occupied for the summer…pack a picnic and swimsuit and hit the Georgetown lake to soak up the sun, explore the largest known Williamson County cave, or skate the night away at the Austin Sports Arena in Round Rock. The choices are endless.
This Summer fun guide is sure to keep your kiddos entertained and you from going crazy. And, better yet, they are all a short jaunt away from our home of Georgetown Texas. Keep in mind, there are plenty of fun events going on around the Austin area, as well! These are just a couple to keep you close to home while not breaking the pocket book.
