North Austin Area Events & Festivals – September 2018

Events are a dime a dozen in an area as big as North Austin. What events and festivals are happening in September? Here’s a look at some of the most notable North Austin events and festivals to enjoy with your friends and family:

North Austin events

Splash Jam
Sept. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Elizabeth Milburn Park – Cedar Park
Cost: FREE
Enjoy live music, food concessions, inflatables, carnival games and rides, a washer tournament at 4 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. Swim in Milburn Pool from 1 to 8 p.m. – regular pool rates apply.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Sept. 5 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Recycling Center – 310 Deepwood Drive
Cost: FREE for City of Round Rock water utility customers. For non-resents, the cost to drop off materials is $40 per car.

Movies in the Park
Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.
Elizabeth Milburn Park – Cedar Park
Cost: FREE
Grab your family, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a screening Ratatouille. Food is welcome, but glass containers are prohibited.

Market Days on the Square
Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Georgetown Town Square
A variety of vendors set up tents around the town square for a day of shopping. Vendors include arts & crafts, jewelry, unique clothing, woodcrafts and more.

Pfurry Splash Party
Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Scott Mentzer Pool – Pflugerville
Cost: $5 per dog (cost includes two humans)

Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
City of Leander Public Works – 607 Municipal Drive, Leander
Cost: Free for Williamson County Residents

Brew for the Heart
Sept. 9 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Whitestone Brewery – 601 E. Whitestone Blvd., Bldg. 5, Ste. 500
Cost: FREE
Beer, music and a raffle. The event benefits HeartGift.

Games on Main
Sept. 11, 18, 25 at 8 p.m.
Prete Main Street Plaza – Round Rock
Cost: $40
Meet up with some of your Round Rock neighbors to learn a variety of yard games: washers, corn hole, ladder golf and more. Only for ages 21+. Register here.

Movies in the Park
Sept. 14 at 7:45 p.m.
Elizabeth Milburn Park – Cedar Park
Cost: FREE
Grab your family, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a screening Cars 3. Food is welcome, but glass containers are prohibited.

Children’s Safety Seminar Hosted by Cedar Park Police
Sept. 15 from 12 to 8 p.m.
Hill Country Bible Church – 12124 RM 620
Cost: Free, but donations are appreciated
Self-defense tips for ages 3 to 18.

Old Town Summer Nights Final 2018 Event
Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Old Town Leander – 100 N. Brushy Street
Cost: FREE
Concert, shopping opportunities, farmers market, the Leander Car Show and dining options.

Family Campout
Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m. to September 22 at 11 a.m.
Old Settlers Park – Round Rock
Cost: $10-$15
Spend the night in Old Settlers Park! Each participant receives two meals, s’mores and a t-shirt. Register here.

Movies in the Park
Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
Elizabeth Milburn Park – Cedar Park
Cost: FREE
Grab your family, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a screening Despicable Me 3. Food is welcome, but glass containers are prohibited.

Georgetown Wine and Music Festival
Sept. 29 from 12 to 8 p.m.
Georgetown Town Square
Cost: $25 in advance, $35 at the event
Enjoy a night on The Most Beautiful Square in Texas while sipping on a taste of wine and beer from the participating businesses. Purchase tickets here.

Parade Route: Along Discovery Blvd from H-E-B Center to the Recreation Center
Celebration Time: 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Celebration Location: Elizabeth Milburn Park, 1901 Sun Chase Blvd. – Milburn Pool is open from 1 to 8 p.m.
Celebration Free Festivities: live music, bingo, watermelon, firework displays, etc.
Celebration Festivities (with fees): food concessions, face painting and carnival games and rides

Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival
The Pfield – Pflugerville
5 to 9:30 p.m.
Pfamily Pfriendly Activities: games, crafts, face painting, live music, 16 food trucks, etc.

July Fourth Frontier Days Celebration
Old Settler’s Park – Round Rock
Parade Time: 10 a.m.
Festival Time: 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Festival Location: Old Settler’s Park
Celebration Festivities: fireworks, carnival rides, jalapeno pepper eating contest, Swifty Swine pig races, Sam Bass shootout and more.

Leander Liberty Fest
Leander
Music Starts: 3:30 p.m.
Fireworks: 9:10 p.m.
Live Music: Casey Donahew & Stoney Larue
Festival Activities: food and craft vendors, children’s activities and more.

Sertoma’s 4th of July
San Gabriel Park – Georgetown
11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Celebration Festivities: 60 arts and craft booths, 20 vendors, kiddie rides, bounce houses, games, petting zoo and more.
