Central Texas Burger Bonanza
It’s no secret that Central Texas has a bounty of offerings to tickle the taste buds of local foodies. Our barbecue is world class and the Tex-Mex can be found on just about any block but what about that good ‘ole American classic…the cheeseburger? C’mon, who can resist a juicy all beef patty, with crisp veggies and a fresh warm bun?
Last week we posted on our Facebook page that Hopdoddy is coming to the area and folks seemed pretty psyched so, we have identified some other local favorites that are either in town or just a short drive away. Each of these joints has something different to offer but to those that don’t know, our local area is full of great places to get a really good burger! Check out the list below…
Burger University – 119 W.7th Street, S Austin Ave, Georgetown, TX 78626

The Power of 4 – Team Excellence Loves Giving Back
“The Power of 4- Team Excellence loves giving back. One of the things they enjoy doing every year is taking a big box of school supplies to area schools. And, every year, HEB has a special offer to help with another project. When you buy a backpack from them, they provide you with free lunch type food items.
The ladies in Team Excellence buy backpacks and take those food items and put them in the backpacks….then fill the rest of the backpack with school supplies. They ask school counselors to give these to children who don’t have a backpack and who are in need of assistance with meals. What a gratifying experience it is to do this….And HEB helps by providing free food items with the purchase of each backpack purchased.
You, too, can do this same thing for less fortunate students if you want to….But hurry…the special offer with HEB only applies this week. Hats off to you, HEB. Team Excellence appreciates your help in :”making the day” of some of our area school children!
Happy Buyer!
Texas just became a bit more extraordinary! Special thanks to the best realtor in Texas, Tracy Jacobs who helped me purchase my new home while I have been traveling and coaching all summer. Could not have done this without her, her team, my family and friends.
HAPPY BUYER,

Georgetown Welcomes Kyle and Whitney Nielsen
We extend a heartfelt Georgetown welcome to Kyle and Whitney Nielsen. We sold them a house last month in University park. They are newly married and bought their first house together here and moved from Las Vegas. He is a doctor and stationed at Fort Hood and she will be getting her masters at UT. They bought the house without seeing it. They were very happy.
Testimonial
Sheila was wonderful to work with. We were working with her from out of state on a tight timeline and budget and she went above and beyond to help us find the right place. She made us feel very comfortable – so much so that we trusted her opinion to enter a contract on a home without being able to fly out and see it! It is the perfect fit for us. She always communicated well and in a timely fashion and her knowledge of the area was just what we needed!

Georgetown Village
Georgetown Village
Try to remember back when folks sat out in their swing or rocking chairs on the front porch in the evening and watched their neighbors taking a stroll down the street or watched their kids playing in the nearby park with their friends. A place where people knew their neighbors and their kids walked to a nearby school.
A Neighborhood with that “Home Town Feel”
This is what the designers and planners of Georgetown Village had in mind when they developed the concept for Georgetown Village, one of Georgetown’s most desirable neighborhoods northwest of historic downtown Georgetown Texas. The developers were determined to secure that home town community feeling by providing large open spaces, neighborhood parks and pools, street lamps , gazebos, a community activity center and homes designed with large front porches large backyards. When you take a drive through the community you will instantly recognize that this neighborhood is considerably different than the standard cookie cutter subdivisions.
A Family Friendly Community
Georgetown Village has a number of amenities that homebuyers are looking for, young and old alike. It has 9 miles of tree shaded walking trails, its own elementary school that has consistently gotten exemplary ratings from the Texas Education Agency. It is within minutes of a large choice of shopping and dining, recreation facilities such as Lake Georgetown and modern medical facilities.
Many of the areas’ top home builders are represented at Georgetown Village with housing in the 1,500 to over 4,000 sq. ft. size and prices starting in the $170’s. There are five different neighborhoods in the Village:
The Village Commons – This established neighborhood is near the elementary school and community pool.
The Meadows – This neighborhood features a large park with a children’s play area.
The Bellaire – The newest neighborhood with new parks, soccer fields, a neighborhood activities center and pool.
The Bluffs – Adjacent to the school with a short walk to the pool.
