Georgetown ISD’s Programs
Dual Language Enrichment Program – Georgetown ISD’s Dual Language program integrates native English speaking and Spanish speaking students in the same classroom in a 50/50 model, 50 percent instruction in English and 50 percent instruction in Spanish. The program is now offered to incoming kindergarteners through an application process at Purl, Mitchell, Carver, and Village Elementary.
SeaPerch – Georgetown ISD is offering SeaPerch for the third consecutive year. In the 2015-2016 school year, Georgetown sent 50 teams from 15 GISD campuses to compete in the SeaPerch competition; five GISD teams qualified for nationals. For more information about SeaPerch at GISD, click here.
Blended Program Pilot – GISD was selected as a site for the “Raising Blended Learners” Pilot Network. Blended learning teaches students how to combine online learning and the traditional brick-and-mortar learning. Click here for more information.
