Thank you so much to Joyce May, reporter with the Williamson County Sun, who surprised us and came to our annual “Snacks with Santa” client appreciation party. The party is held every year at the chamber and our friends, family, and clients sure seem to love it! We do a different theme every year and this year, it was an ugly sweater party.
The best part is seeing all of the kiddos having such a great time. They sit in Santa’s lap, they get a goody bag, and they get their photo professionally taken. Then, we have face painting, crafts for everyone, and tons of great food. One of our sponsors, Schlotzsky’s of Georgetown, brings pizza, soup, and sandwiches and donates them to the party. The rest of our sponsors either donate in-kind donations or share in the expense of pulling off this amazing party. Our team and each of the sponsors bring a door prize to be drawn at the end of the party. All of this says thanks to those who have hired us and/or work with us to see our closings come to fruition.
Our clients, young and old, have a great time. We ask them to consider bringing a food donation or pet toy for our furry friends at the Williamson County Animal Shelter. Our guests deliver! There is always a big basket of goodies to donate to the animals. It is our favorite day of the year. We love giving back and we love showing our appreciation for the people who were once our clients….and are now our friends!
Thank you, friends and family who have allowed us to help them with their real estate transactions. Hope your Christmas was a day full of love and laughter. And a happiest and healthiest New Year in 2016!
We’d love it if you’d stop by to see our new office this Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Our new Century 21 Hellmann Stribling home is at 801 S. Main Street in Georgetown, TX.
You won’t believe how cool our new digs are! The old Longhorn Title building on the corner of 8th Street and Main was almost completely
gutted and re-done. However, some of the history is left to compliment the new and exciting modern twist. We love our new office.
So, please come make merry with us from 4:00 to 6:00 and then enjoy First Friday on the Square. Remember….Saturday is the Georgetown Christmas Stroll as well!
Come see us….and Merry Christmas to all of you!
Come rain or come shine, the lighting of the square in Georgetown was scheduled to happen on the day after Thanksgiving.
This is our tradition and is the most amazing way to start the Christmas holidays. Carolers and children and Old St. Nicholas! Heavy mist and freezing wind couldn’t keep us away.
If you haven’t seen the town square at night in December, you simply must make that happen. Come get in the spirit of the season with thousands of white lights in the trees and Christmas decorations galore!
While we love all the new restaurants popping up in Georgetown and Round Rock, sometimes we venture into Austin to have a nice dinner as well. When we happen upon a nice restaurant, we like to tell you about it. And boy did we enjoy this one.
We went to visit the new and “happening” Revival Cycles clothing and apparel shop (which just happens to be Paula & Bob Brent’s son’s shop) on South Congress. After admiring every square inch of the shop, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant next door: Café No Se. It is located in the new and innovative South Congress Hotel which is already such a place to gather. The entire hotel was already fully booked.
Knowing the owner of Revival Cycles helped a lot because we got a private tour of the kitchen of this very amazing restaurant and got to see how they put together all of the food we had just devoured. And I mean we ate every single bite of our food. We also got a tour of the hotel’s facilities and it is just a very hip place to stay and enjoy downtown.
We’ll do a separate blog on Revival Cycles….but, in the meantime, enjoy these photos of these delicious, unbelievable foods we enjoyed at Café No Se. Ha… We got so excited when the desserts came out that we forgot to take photos of them….but just know that they were every bit as fun as the entrees and appetizers.
Oh my…now that I think about it, I think we ate one of everything there. And boy was it worth it!!
We are so thrilled! Our team just found out that we are semi-finalists again this year for the prestigious award of Platinum Top 50 Agents in the Austin area. In 2014, we were so honored to actually be listed in the top 50 agents. This year, we will find out on December 17th if we are winners again! In 2013, we were runners up and we were just thrilled to be on that list.
The award is based on actual production (number of closed transactions and total volume of sales), Realtor designations (further education and earned designations), and community involvement. All 3 of these are very important things that we strive to improve on each year. Of course, the most important thing we achieve each year is quality service…And we have received that award through Century 21 for the 5 years we have been a team.
Thank you, Amber Thomas, for running a first class program of Platinum Top 50 of the Austin area.
So… thank you so much for your business. We are ever so grateful! We couldn’t have done any of this without our clients. And thanks for sharing our joy!
Our program “Closings for the Community” is our favorite part of our job. After all the hard work is done and our clients are resting peacefully in their new homes, we make a contribution in their honor to the charity of their choice for every closing…whether its a purchased home or a sold home.
Brookwood in Georgetown owns our hearts and has become the non-profit most contributed to. Why? Because our team is passionate about the good this program does for our community’s adults with cognitive impairments. This amazing group, through the help of MANY volunteers and contributors, provides a day program for these “citizens” (as they are called) to flourish, become artisans, learn teamwork, and find their joy. The citizens look out for each other and work together with pride and a sense of accomplishment…something some of them never knew before this program. As coined by one of the citizens, “Brookwood in Georgetown makes me feel like I have a purpose….a reason to get up every day.”
This morning, B.I.G. held its annual golf “benefit”. It is a celebration of all of the contributions and of all of the contributors! It is a thank you to the people who help make this program work. We check in the golfers every year and it is truly a fun start to the day for us!
Look for the new B.I.G. building to be opened next year right here in Georgetown. They currently have a day program at the Georgetown Church of Christ and that program will transfer to the new building along with the products for sale. Check it out at: www.brookwoodingeorgetown.org. You can also find them on Facebook. Like their page and see what they are up to! And, if you’d like to make a contribution while on their website, please make it to Team Stephanie…which is the team we supported this year. Thanks so much!
This past Saturday, The Power of 4- Team Excellence sponsored a photo booth at the Lighthouse Festival at Teravista Elementary. Suffice it to say, it was a smashing hit! Kiddos & adults alike had an amazing time dressing up in hats, funny glasses, and mustaches on sticks to get their photos taken in the photo booth. This elementary school has achieved the highest ratings in academic achievement.
This event was both a fundraiser and a celebration. The team was a gold sponsor and there were several other great sponsors. Food trucks and jumping games and silent auction items were all fun, fun, fun!
Paula Brent and Angie Moore were able to represent The Power of 4 Team Excellence at this year’s Platinum Top 50 Color Party. They celebrated with fellow Platinum Top 50 Award Winners from 2014…along with prospective winners for 2015. A great time was had by all. It was an amazing party with Lake Travis as its backdrop. So great to see Lake Travis with water again.
The Power of 4 – Team Excellence has been a runner up for this prestigious award and in 2014 were named part of the Top 50 Realtors in Central Texas. We are so proud to be a part of the organization and all of its sponsors. Thank you so much to all of you who put on a great party. It was a HUGE hit! Here are a few shots from the party!
The opening of Highland Mall is what brought our family from San Antonio to Austin in 1971. My mother was the manager of the brand new Capri Beauty Salon on the first level next to Hoffritz Cutlery & Baskin Robbins and across from Krueger Jewelers and Bakers Shoes.
My first job was handing out discount coupons for an “up-do or tease-out” for the salon. I remember being in awe of how big and beautiful the mall was and as a child (I was 10 yrs old) it was fun (and safe) to go explore the mall and all it’s nooks and crannies all on my own for hours while my mom was working. My favorite feature was the water fountain outside of Scarbroughs that had the “raining” threads of water that dripped down from the heavens.
RIP Highland Mall…and thank you for bringing me to this amazing city.
We agree with Georgetown’s Sonic restaurants! We DO appreciate your business… And we support the East View Patriots, Southwestern University Pirates, and the Georgetown Eagles!
